ABOUT US

As Wisconsin’s only accredited school of public health, the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Joseph J. Zilber School of Public Health takes pride in offering our students an excellent teaching and learning environment; high quality research programs; and far-reaching opportunities to grow as public health practitioners and researchers by engaging with our many partners in the community.

As a part of a large research university within a diverse and complex American city, the Joseph J. Zilber School of Public Health embraces its mission to advance population health, health equity, and social and environmental justice throughout Milwaukee, the state of Wisconsin, and beyond. We do this through education, research, community engagement, and advocacy for health-promoting policies and strategies.

Founded in 2009, the UWM Joseph J. Zilber School of Public Health offers a BS in Public Health, five Masters of Public Health tracks, one MS, and four PhD programs.
