Congress returns to D.C. next week. Speak for Health today!

Hundreds of public health advocates have contacted their elected officials over the last few weeks on key public health priorities like public health funding, gun violence, climate change and protecting the Affordable Care Act. With one week left before Congress returns to Washington, D.C., let’s continue to express our public health voice.

Your advocacy efforts impact what provisions we will see included in the next COVID-19 response package and future legislation to address the continuing pandemic. And with the end of the current fiscal year fast approaching, the Senate has yet to consider its version of the 2021 Labor-HHS-Education appropriations bill. Funding for health agencies and programs is, as always, a top advocacy concern for all of us in public health.

With a packed schedule ahead of them, now is the time to contact your members of Congress and Speak for Health. Take advantage of these last few recess days and urge support for programs that strengthen and protect public health:

Important public health issues are at stake, and your voice matters more than ever. Join us and call on Congress to put prevention and public health first.
