Today, May 6, 2020 is National Nurses Day and I would like to offer my sincerest thanks to all the work that you, as Public Health Nurse’s, do every single day to ensure the safety of our communities and state.  You are the unseen hero that ensures the health of individuals in the places we live, work, and play. In these unprecedented times, the challenging work you do is more apparent than ever. Public health nurses are on the front lines to tirelessly provide service to both internal and external customers.  Thank you for your commitment to public health and protecting your communities on a daily basis.

I would like to be able to capture these unique times in our public health and professional history by compiling a  COVID story board. My hope is to be able to develop a way to let others see the work we do behind the scenes. Therefore, I would encourage you to take pictures of your fellow nurses doing what they do best while showing their dedication to their community. Please send a caption with your photo to my email at

I am so honored to be a part of such a fabulous profession! The state of Wisconsin, I know, must be proud of all your efforts and time. If there are any resources that I can help you find or if there is an issue you would like me to advocate for on your behalf please let me know. I am here for you as a colleague, friend, and partner. Keep shining public health nurses of Wisconsin!

Stay safe and well,

Ann Price
