March has brought some changes to the Wisconsin Public Health Association. After 13 years of working with WPHA, Julie Lederhaus has moved onto new adventures. We wish Julie well! Thank you again to her for all of her time with WPHA and public health.

We are excited to welcome Maggie Gruennert, CMP, to the WPHA Staff as the Director of Education at the beginning of March. Prior to joining WPHA, Maggie worked in association management in Milwaukee. Her focus was meeting planning, regional and community outreach events. Maggie graduated from UW-Stevens Point with BS in Communications and Public Relations, has a Meeting and Event Planning Certificate, and is a CMP (Certified Meeting Professional).  In her free time Maggie enjoys baking, sewing and spending time with her husband Kenny, daughter Peyton (2), son Ryder (6 months), and their yellow lab Henley.

Please reach out to Maggie with any questions you might have at Maggie@badgerbay.co.

In addition, Jamie Michael, WPHA's Association Director, added a new member to her family this month and is currently on Maternity Leave. Hayley joined older twin brothers, Alex & Ayden, on March 4th, and is looking forward to being a future public health professional while learning about the COVID-19 Pandemic social distancing from all of her friends! She looks forward to meeting everyone soon! Jamie will be enjoying time off with her family until mid-May!
