The Root Cause Coalition is Seeking Experts to Help Develop the Curriculum for our Learning Cohorts

The Root Cause Coalition is excited to announce Learning Cohorts, a new initiative where participants will learn and share best practices on addressing food and housing insecurity.

This new effort was made possible with support from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, to capture the enthusiasm and lessons learned from The Root Cause Coalition’s annual National Summit on the Social Determinants of Health.

The Cohorts are open to leaders interested in learning how to better address social determinants of health through cross-sector collaboration in their communities. Additionally, we welcome graduate students in aligned studies to participate in the Cohorts, as it is imperative to train the next generation of health equity leaders.

We are currently seeking experts to help co-design the curriculum for the Learning Cohorts. We encourage you to fill out our Learning Cohort expert application by clicking here. Please apply by Sept. 6.

If you are not interested in serving as an expert, but would like to join the Cohort as a participant, the Learning Cohorts kick off with two meetings on Sunday, Oct. 20 at our National Summit on the Social Determinants of Health in San Diego, California. If you have not already registered for the Summit, you may do so here. The Cohorts will also meet virtually through webinars, conference calls and discussion boards throughout the 10 months following the Summit.

We look forward to this cross-sector collaboration among peers at different stages of their social determinant journey, and hope you'll join us in our mission to achieve health equity.
