Southeast Region Public Health Generalist - Health Equity Survey

After years of struggling to close health disparities, a new movement has taken root: public health is working to create a set of strategic practices to confront the power imbalances and forms of oppression at the root of health inequities, change the conversation about what creates health equity, develop leadership and support innovation, and build a movement for health equity.  Many just need help getting started.  Last year, the Southeast Region of WI formed a Health Equity subcommittee as a part of our Public Health Generalist Network.  The intent was to examine public health employees understanding of health equity &  how it fit into their day-to-day work, and then create a “health equity starter plan” for anyone working in public health. In order to assess where we are as a state,  the Public Health Generalist Health Equity Subcommittee (Southeast Region) is working to gain a better understanding of and assess how public health organizations are currently  working to address health equity within their organizations and/or communities.  We realize that this work can be challenging, and the information we gather will inform how much and what kind of work we need to do.

We hope that you will take a few minutes to complete this survey . It’s a short survey that is expected to take 5-10 minutes and should be completed no later than August 15th.  Respondents will help guide future work, discussions and resource sharing in the area of Health Equity.

Thank you in advance for your help!
