·            Presenters

o   Victoria Faust, Action Researcher with the UW Population Health Institute Mobilizing Action Toward Community Health (MATCH) Group

·        Overview:

A dynamic collaboration of Wisconsin local governments, state agencies, academic partners, and nonprofit groups have joined forces to create the Legacy Community Alliance for Health (LCAH). The collaborative has been awarded a $1 million Community Impact Grant to improve health and health equity through local government policymaking and programming. This project builds on the work of Green Tier Legacy Communities* and Green Tier non-government organizations, led by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources and 1000 Friends of Wisconsin. Academic partners under the umbrella of the UW-Madison UniverCity Alliance, led by COWS and the Population Health Institute, will provide data, training, technical assistance and evaluation services (see sidebar for a full list of partners). This presentation will provide an overview of the project, discuss the roles of academic partners, provide a summary of training content, and describe emergent pilot projects.
