Voices of WPHA
Stephanie Genz, Associate Professor, Viterbo University, School of Nursing
“As a nurse educator, belonging to WPHA affords me the opportunity to link with my practice colleagues. It is essential for those of us who teach public health to network with our colleagues in practice. WPHA provides the opportunity for those in academia and practice to network, collaborate, and stay connected.”
Jay Shrader, Director, Western Region Partnership for Public Health Preparedness
“I belong to WPHA because it is important to me to support my professional organization and the mission of WPHA”.
Mary Hilliker, Senior Outreach Specialist, UW-Paul P Carbone Comprehensive Cancer Center
“I am a member of WPHA because the organization provides a collective voice for public health policies that make a real difference in people's lives. I consider my WPHA dues as essential for advocacy efforts that will improve public health infrastructure and the public's health. “
Kaija Zusevics, MPH Intern, UW-La Crosse, Coordinator-Public Health Planning
“My involvement in WPHA as a student member has enhanced my understanding of and appreciation for statewide collaborations, community partnerships, and multi-disciplinary efforts that enhance the work of public health professionals throughout Wisconsin. This cooperative model ultimately establishes a solid foundation on which to develop and expand diverse public health endeavors."
