Governor Includes Healthy Jobs Act in Special Session Bill | 9/29/2011

The Wisconsin Public Health Association and Wisconsin Association of Local Health Departments and Boards today applauded Governor Scott Walker for including the Healthy Jobs Act, legislation to create a workplace wellness tax credit, in his special session on jobs. Both organizations also called on the Legislature to pass the measure with bi-partisan support.

Earlier this year, WPHA and WALHDAB identified the Healthy Jobs Act as one of the organizations' top legislative priorities for the current legislative session. The bill would create would create a Workplace Wellness Tax Credit for employers who offer wellness programs for their employees.
