WPHA President Muriel Nagle, MSN and member Jay Shrader, MHA from Security Health Plan testified before the Senate Agriculture, Small Business and Tourism Committee on Wednesday.  They presented WPHA’s support of the Healthy Jobs Act.  A number of other organizations also attended and testified in support of the bill.  Committee members asked a number of questions, and shared interest in the proposal.  A vote on the bill is expected by the committee in the near future.

February 21, 2013 - Yesterday evening, Governor Scott Walker delivered his budget address and officially introduced his 2013-15 state budget bill proposal. The a two-year, $68 billion budget proposal will now be debated, reshaped and ultimately passed by the legislature before it can be signed into law (most likely by the end of June).
