The Wisconsin Public Health Associaiton, Inc. (WPHA) was founded in 1948, and is an affiliate of the American Public Health Association (APHA). WPHA is a tax-exempt, non-profit with a 501(c)3 status.

• Increase funding for Wisconsin public health programs over 2009 baseline by December 2012.
• Improve health equity in Wisconsin by improving key determinants of health in Wisconsin by December 2012.
• Increase the number of evidence-based prevention best practices adopted in the state by 2012. 

• Increase student involvement in WPHA by 2011.
• Provide education and training to 1000 (total) public health professionals and partners in Wisconsin by December 2011.
• Lead the Call to Action and related PH workforce efforts through December 2012. 

• Increase WPHA membership from 370 individual and 28 organizational members (as of June 2009) to over 1000 members by December 2012.
• Strengthen organizational effectiveness by adopting best practices identified through assessment and evaluation.
• Grow the annual operating budget by 10% over 2009 levels and develop a 6-month cash reserve by December 2012.
